Default Felix Farm

I last tried to fish Felix Farm about 9 years ago, paid my money and then found a lake full of dead and dying fish.
Yesterday I thought I would try it again, arrived at 3.30 pm paid for 2 fish limit £20 and was told by the guy that there were a batch of dodgy fish delivered and I might see a few dead or dying fish. Sh*t I start thinking it can’t be as bad as last time.
So approached the lake to see about 20 fish swimming around gasping on the top, some swimming upside down and on their sides.
Any way I thought I have paid my money, three hours later I wished I had not, but I am thinking as soon as the sun goes down I might have a chance but at 7.30 Sun still high in the sky the guy rings a bell to say fishing finished. He did give me a £5 off next visit voucher, yeah right I am going back, I don’t think so.

History repeating itself. It was a hot day and not enough oxygen in some parts of the water also when fish come up for oxygen near the surface the surface water temperature would have been far too hot for them to survive. The lake is 28feet at its deepest and I don't understand why the fish didn't go down to that depth to survive.

I was intending to go to Farmore, but the large quantities of food and beer consumed for my birthday on Saturday left me with a bit a thick head so chose a local venue rather than the 110 mile round trip. Next time more pain killers and I will drive to farmore

I went there a few months ago and don't think I'll be going back. Only one side of the lake was fishable due to weed and it all seemed a bit dilapidated. Did you catch anything? I managed one when I was there but that was it. I can't understand why most stillwaters open and close at 8. Surely they should close at dusk when some of the best fishing is possible

No I didnt catch Charlie, but I have blanked at bettter waters. To be honest it was the dead and dying fish, the very shallow water all around the lake and being kicked off at 7.30 which got to me.
