Default Howietoun Fishery losses ?

This evening i heard of a huge fish loss at Howietoun, that something like 30,000 fish were lost due to possible toxins. I'm obviously hoping the reports are wrong, maybe someone can confirm or deny what i heard.

For those that do not know Howietoun it is near Stirling, Howietoun is one of the oldest hatchery and fish farms in Scotland. Brown trout hatched at Howietoun have been stocked for angling throughout the world and are famous for their quality, they also produce salmon smolts, in more recent times it came under the control of Stirling university.

Best regards
Jim

Yes a serious situation for all involved, Swanswater is only about another mile downstream on the Bannockburn. Hope it is a localised problem and does not carry on downstream.
