Forgive me if this is a stupid question but I've never done any wading in my life and have had conflicting information.
I bought some breathable stockingfoot waders a couple of months ago but didn't get any boots until I had chance to figure out what I was going to buy. After reading a few threads on here about using walking boots I thought I'd try them out to see how they went as opposed to spending £££ on some proper wading boots.
Now I'm a bit worried about the whole wading thing and I'd quite like to avoid drowning so before using them for the first time I bought some studs which arrived today. I have done one boot so far but need someone to tell me if the stud pattern I have used will be effective.
Doing a Google image search for rubber soled studded wading boots there are images of the studs at the heel then some under the ball of the foot but the instructions that came with the studs said don't put under ball of foot as a lot of weight is put onto this area and the screw could poke through
This is how I've done the first one - is it going to work?
Any help greatly appreciated
Rob.
