Default Advice - Bib and brace breathable and waterproof

Hi Guys,

looking for any recommendations on quality bib and brace ,light, breathable and waterproof for the spring /summer months.........?

It seems like we have very wet but mild spring and summers and my normal b & b's are just too warm - great for winter / Autumn.

On my last 3 outings the rain has been very bad and need something to keep me dry on the outside as well as the inside (breathable) when fishing the banks.

Thanks in advance,

D.

I gave up on the bib and brace style / chest waders ect!
I now use snowbee geo over trousers which are watreproof and very lightweight and also dry out very quickly. Great piece of kit
Snowbee Geo Over Trousers - Sportfish
On the top half i use an orvis lightweigt packable jacket which fits in my boat box if not in use and takes up very little room, again ultra waterproof and top piece of kit.

Go and have a look round outdoor/camping type shops, much cheaper than paying the stupid prices that fishing outlets charge

MRS SKB has bought me a spiffing set of Greys B&B's from Grommit - tough as old boots he reckons which is good as I use mine for bank and boat for trout and boat for the salt too.

I needed them to be very breathable as I sweat like a cold beer in the sun but also need them to be waterproof too.

Grommit has some v good deals on these.

Otherwise, check out a local TK-Max for waterproof over troosers.

But they will unlikely be breathable.

I had searched high and low for this product (b & b's, light and breathable for summer) and all the top brands are geared towards winter.

Thanks for the heads up on Grommit Ben

My Orvis breathable chesties do the job nicely when in or out of the river in summer conditions and very cool when walking any distances.

Will keep looking in the meanwhile,

cheers

D.

Cabela's: Cabela's Official Website - Quality Hunting, Fishing, Camping and Outdoor Gear at competitive prices.
Look for there own brand clothing
They will have Fall sales soon and you can get yourself a real bargain, even after p&p and duty. Bought 2 goretex wading jackets a few yrs ago all in around 100e each..class jackets and I have bought 2 goretex bin n brace for around the same price nearly 10ys ago and they are still going strong.
