First is one that I've been asked to do a review on, and so far it's a great read: "Holding Lies, a novel by John Larison." Half way through, but impression so far is "Drop the Dime," you won't be disappointed!
Second was one recommended to me by another Fora member: "The History Man, by Malcom Bradbury." Written back in 1975, but a complete Hoot. Evidence that times march on, but not much changes.

Just the Players;
Great read.
The other is a new one to me as the neighborhood 'handyman.' A Reader's Digest book called "Save $20,000 with a nail." A home repair book (for context, I'm in a year old home so nothing has 'broken') but one of those books you can open to any page and learn something. Simple but effective 'something.'
For someone buying a home that's got 'legs' ('Muricanism for old) this is a must bathroom reader. Something 'breaks' you've got two choices: fix it yourself, or hire someone. Start here to see if you want to take on the job?
