Default Small reel

Does anyone have any preferences between or opinions on the BFR Dragonfly 355 and the Leeda Profil Size 5/6 as I'm after another small reel. They're both similar prices and appear to have similar specs

The Leeda has a nice wide abor - works well to reduce memory for a little reel.

Ok, thanks for that. I do already have one (though haven't used it yet) but wanted to know if there's any advantage in buying the Dragonfly especially as it seems it's no longer made in Britain.

I find the leeda allows grit in the back through the vent holes - this can lock the reel. I think the dragonfly has a solid back doesn't it?

WRT arbor; the converse is true of the dragonfly

Thanks for your help Dartmoor Navigator I've now bought another Leeda Profil from the classifieds on this forum. I'll just have to remember not to drop it

As I said I've not cast with mine yet just filled it with line but it does seem to be a great buy for the money.

Ditto, I've just got some of these in the 5/6 as well as 7/8 size and they look and feel fantastic.

One of my house-mates who coarse fishes is amazed it only cost £30

Before buying take a look at this site.

Caimore Direct

Just bought the 'eternal' rated 2/4/5 wt.. £49 inc postage, really fast service and comes in a neoprene pouch. Its sitting in front of me and not even had a chance to put a line on it yet but really nice finish, very smooth drag and a real peach for the money. Would not hesitate to buy another one in a larger size.

Also have the Vision Koma and the Greys GRX. Rate them both but prefer the Koma for looks and feel.
