In the late summer I introduced my sons (27,24,20) to fly fishing. The two elder sons asked to be kitted out (all three have birthdays within 12 days of Christmas - and yes I apparently did have a distinct breeding season!). I have full kits based around Greys GRXi and 5wt lines for them The eldest (who has transport) lives in Essex and the other kitted out one lives in London. From the distance of my home town (Lancaster) there aren't too many trout fisheries in Essex visible.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should suggest they start out local to Cheshunt ?

Rib Valley in Ware which is about 10 minutes from Cheshunt is the nearest place and it fishes very well in the winter.

A bit further afield is Manor Farm at Biggleswade just off the A1 about an hour from Cheshunt

And Norton is near Epping which is about 20 minutes from Cheshunt

I belong to the club at Rib so fish there regularly but all 3 are worth a go
