I find this kind of diagram easier to remember.

Knots for fluoro

It's the Davy knot with an extra tuck.

This vid makes the tying of the knot look well easy ( which it is ),and looks simpler than your vid Steven so maybe you'll find it easier to remember

For my seafishing with 10 - 40lb lines I'd always use a grinner (uni) knot but when I've tied this in 4lb fluoro it makes a real pigs tail of the tippet. I've been sitting here this morning (peeing down so not going fishing) practising the Davy knot and I've also found that it sometimes unravels under pressure. After reading some of the suggestions on here I'm now tying it with 2 extra tucks and it works fine, certainly strong enough to pull a kitchen chair across the floor (Ah, the things we do when denied our sport). So if ever there's a rise of wooden furniture at my local res I'll be ready

I'd stay clear of the Davy Knot if I were you. I've been giving it a good work out and found it to be unreliable. You'd be better off using the similar but more reliable Orvis Knot.

Why call a knot unreliable just because you have found it to be so?.I can honestly say hand on heart that ive been using the Davy for around a yr or two when using nymphs and dries and not had it slip on me yet, this is with fish up to around 8lb

Try using this stuff instead of spit and i guarantee it wont slip http://www.tomcsaville.com/index.php...mart&Itemid=10

What does it contain, Neil? £5 seems a bit steep, if it's just glycerin or something similar.
