Default Dry Fly Pattern Essentials

Hi Forum
I am interested in your opinions what dry fly patterns are essential for:
1. reservoir trout fishing?
2. loch trout fishing?
What must you have in your boxes?

If its not a well known pattern could you include a photo and tying details
