Default Which tackle bag do you use?

I need a new tackle bag, in fact I need two as I will be leaving one set of gear up at my caravan during the season.

I have always liked the vintage style of game bag and would like to get hold of good ones such as Brady et al but they are quite expensive and I've just been replacing all the Hardy rods and other gear that I had stolen many years ago so I'm having to keep costs down for the moment.

I can maybe get one Brady bag this year but will have to make do with a cheaper alternative for the second bag.
So which bag do you use and any suggestions for a reasonably priced good sized game bag ( preferably with a netted front and maybe rubberised interior) that I can just leave up at my caravan with my spare set of tackle in it?

Tony

I'd go secondhand brady from ebay.

For a cheapy to leave in the caravan and no major loss if it gets stolen, why not a Daiwa or Shakespeare?

I looked up the Brady bag and they were very expensive. The one I'm going to suggest is half the cost. I think you would be pleased with it if you choose to buy the Fishpond product.

hello i am having a canvas bag made to my spec by a uk company like the brady ariel but a design change front and inside pocket. they make traditional canvas bags, should be about £80 posted, i am having dark brown color, richardw is liking a green i think, send me a pm and will give you a name and number. the company was busy at a fair in scotland i think so it is a waiting game for my bag. if you phone phil he might speed up for you

After years of lugging copious amounts of fishing tackle along muddy river and canal banks I promised myself that when I started fly fishing I would never have more tackle than I can carry in my waistcoat.

So I don't use a tackle bag. Not much help am I.

Sir, you are absolutely correct. You were less help than what I am in most cases to these people.

Brady Ariel Trout (best for the quick release buttons) and hang the expense. It isn't expensive if you consider mine has been in almost continuous use each season, sometimes 5 times a week, since 1968. It is a little worn now but so am I! Even if you paid full price today it would work out at only £3 a year.

However, flyfishy61 is bringing out a bag soon that could be a good alternative if it is made as well as the Brady bags are.
