Default Angler paradise ???

G'Day.

An old family friend is staying near me for a few days, at his bidding I have agreed to have a few hours C&R fishing at Anglers Paradise trout lake in Devon.

Its not the the sort of place I would normally go but am happy to accompany my friend for a bit of banter, has anyone ever fished it and got any idea what I should expect, I am hoping its not gonna be a muddy farm pond.

Angler's paradise is a series of lakes aimed primarily at coarse fishermen. it's run by someone who's name escapes me but is a winner of the marlin world cup and has several stuffed in the bar there. (I think he's greek) anyway, he opened a couple of lakes for trout a few years back, and stocked them with every variety of trout under the sun, from about 1-3lb. from what i hear the water's fairly clear and the surroundings quite nice. the fish respond to imitative patterns well.

Try a fly on his Koi pond if you're allowed.. take some winalot to lure them up then try a thick deer hair sedge....

A tremendous mixed fishery set in idyllic Devon countryside, here you can find everything from tiny float fishing ponds to large carp and catfish lakes. The first thing you notice when arriving at anglers paradise is the sheer amount of water on offer, you are nothing short of spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding where to fish. In fact choosing where to fish is the hardest part of catching fish at this remarkable fishing mecca. Anglers paradise was set up by Zyg and Rose Gregorek in the early 80's and has since grown into one of the largest and most luxurious angling resorts in all of Europe, anglers from all over the world (including many celeb fisherman) regularly grace the banks and film crews can often been found filming the latest fishing series tucked away in quiet corner of the complex. The main fishing is made up of no less then 17 lakes with more in the pipeline, this means that even in the peak season you can always find your perfect peg.
