It means your rod is designed to cast both a 6wt and a 7wt line.
WF means that your line has a taper which puts some weight and bulk near the business end of the fly line. This can aid casting in some circumstances.
A 6wt line is going to be slightly less heavy and bulky than a 7wt which can aid presentation and will have slightly less drag when playing a fish.
An important factor is how it feels to you when casting it. I have just got a 6/7 wt rod and I find that I prefer casting with the heavier line with this particular rod.
People just beginning to fish are often advised to start with the heavier line, if nothing else it can help you feel your rod loading and thus help with timing.
If you are just starting out, I would recommend a casting lesson from a qualified pro who will also be able to explain tapers and weights in detail and advise on what is best for you and your rod at the moment.
