If you are fishing the fly drive all the way down to the bottom and there is an inlet burn - Great trout hang about this burn mouth!

Wet Flies if there is a good breeze but an F-fly inched along the surface will bring good trout - I will try and find the picture of the 3lb Brownie I caught a few years back.

Hi just fished there yesterday for the 1st time. As i was familiar with area went down to the far end to concentrate on the brownies. Had a fab short session, caught 5 fish, the best about 3/4lb but a great fighter, all returned. The views at this end are stunning on a nice day like yesterday. It was a good day for fishing as sky continually changed and reasonable wind. Mix of catches, a cdc olive brought no luck, tried a few other dries, then a change to a red tailed sedge caught 2 fish with 1st 2 catches. Moved on to experiment with wets on this water and caught 3 more on a bibio and on partridge and orange. Had a good tug on at least 4 more instances and at times plently of fish rising. All in all a short but fab session, will be back next week.
