Default kennick and new phone

Had a cracking day at Kennick again. The weather threw everything at me, rain, gales, cloud, bright sunshine it coldnt of been worse but there was only 4 bank anglers on 54 acres and the 4 boats were out, so i had plenty of room to roam and feel free.

Got a new phone so tried the camera, this is a panoramic of Kennick

Didnt arrive till after 9 the one guy i passed on the on the lawns hadnt had a touch so i dropped in just above him and lost one at the net on the 3rd cast, after that not a touch for half an hour. The boats didnt have a fish so i had itchy feet and headed up to the shallow end, and by heck its shallow now the water has dropped. I fished on Smithacott bank and took 6 fish in an hour and half, missing a few takes and again dropping one at the net the bst thing was it was so shallow the boats couldnt pester me lol much to there disgust

the cast was my OH Buzzer on the top dropper taking 4 fish, A red flash skinny buzzer that took 1 on the middle dropper and a green flash diawl back on the point also taking one.The OH buzzer i tied with only wide turns off silk down to the bend and then crossing on the way back up which is then varnished, i think it looks like the emptying shuck case(wingman gave me the idea when he said he would of left the shank clear).

Whats the difference if you're keeping your catch as Sarg obviosly did?

Incidentally I always use barbless or debarbed, I just can't see what point your trying to make in this particular thread.

On fisheries where barbed hooks are allowed anglers have a choice. It's up to the individual how they want to fish.

Nice shots off your phone, clever choice of buzzer and good haul of fish for your efforts.

i only fish put and take fisheries so why would i want barbless hooks for, cant see the sense in that. If i ever did fish catch and release i would crush down the barbs. Sorry if this upsets anyone

Well done Sarg, looks like a nice day out. You have no need to apologise for anything to anybody you fished as the rules allowed you to do.

There are many areas where a barb is not allowed. A single barbless hook is the usual rule.
