Hi, does anyone know if the gade behind the nursery in Hempstead rd,watford is private, it is below the M25 on the Grove side of the Canal, unlikley to have trout I know but may be worth coarse fly fishing?

It does have trout in it and that stretch is part of a coarse syndicate/club, the Watford Piscators I believe.

I used to work in Croxley Business Park and that stretch is owned by the park, it also has plenty of fish in it, used to have a club years ago where you could fish if you worked on the park, however was disbanded and the current owners don't allow any fishing due to H&S.

Thanks for that, maybe i'll try and track a few other spots down (or join the piscators?), i know there are free areas on Croxley moor and possibly above to the rear of Jellico road in Watford. I may also try below Cassiobury around gade close but also look further around kings langley/ watford borders.
