Default licence

Hi

i live in Scotland and am soon going on holiday to the lake district. i have booked myself a casting lesson in that area and intend getting in a days fishing at a local venue. my question is do i need a fishing licence before i am allowed to fish the venue or does it come with the cost of the day ticket or will i in fact need one for the lesson as well

thanks
scott

Anywhere in England and Wales you need a EA rod licence to fish legally unless your under 12 years of age.

£3.75 for one day or £10 for 8 days. The fine is quite a bit more that the cost of the licence if you are caught without one. More info on:

Environment Agency - Buy your rod licence online - no service charges

Enjoy your hols!
