If you fish the bays early morning with buzzers you will catch.

They are not very far out.

Some nice 4 - 5 lbers coming out at the moment.

Also West Bay to river inlet is recommended.

The stockie bashers are hitting the fish with orange boobies.

On wimbleball, ruggs, bessoms and cowmoor. If nothing moving find deeper water with bombs ect. All the usual resivour flies take fish. Maybe a bit early for daddies but always look for terrestrials up on these highlands waters.
Or you could go up the upton arm and have a crack at the wilder browns and completely different atmosphere this area holds.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Well done. A friend fished clatworthy on Sunday and had a cracking bag average 3lb per fish. I person prefer wimbleball, probably because that's where i cut my teeth as it were in fly fishing. They like it off the top lol

Kennick Flyfishers fished Clatworthy on Sunday, almost all caught though it was not easy. We were fishing a floating line competition. The heaviest bag was 5 fish weighing just over 22 pounds with the heaviest fish, now being smoked, five and a half pounds.
