Default Holiday cottage with fishing help?

I've got 2 weeks holiday starting on the 25th July and would like a cottage just for 2 people with a trout lake for one of the weeks ,has anyone got any recommendations they can help me with?
Anywhere in England or Scotland distance no object for the right location, near to the sea would be great if possible.

Tavistock trout fishery have lodges and 5 small waters lakes to have a go at. Tavistock is in a wonderful part of dartmoor and then you can go either north or south devon coasts.

Cheers sarg

Thanks guys,Islay sounded great until I worked out it would take 6 hours from GlasgowSo thats a whole days travel both ways!
Tavistock looks OK but fishing is a bit pricey at £40/day.
Will wade through the Scottish holiday options tomorrow.

Is a day's travel not normal for a holiday? Took me 22 hours to get to my last holiday destination

Try this Thrumster estate, if you try hard you can hit one of the lochs from the kitchen door. jim

Hi,
For truly great fishing and for accomodation you could definitely do worse than Forbes of Kingennie at Broughty Ferry, Dundee. You are virtually stepping out of the lodges and into the lakes.
Very helpful and obliging staff and, incidentally, where I caught my personal best rainbow.
Hope this helps,
Keith

A couple that might have cottages available. Most places at that time of year will be booked by now though.
