Hello fly guys. Losing my river virginity tomorrow! Going river fishing (Hodder in Lancashire) for the 1st time tomorrow. I am used to still water fishing & would like to know what flies to use on a river, or doesnt it matter? Also, I will be fishing from the bank, so do I cast across stream, up river or downstream? Any tips from seasoned river Hodder fly fishers would be greatly accepted with a pint on offer at the inn at whitewell if i catch.

Don't know this part of the Hodder well but would be interested to hear how you got on.
