Actually, there are a few trout rivers in or near Northamptonshire. There is a brown trout fishery on the Great Ouse near Water Stratford. The river Ise near Kettering has trout, there is fishery on one of the Esates near Kettering which is rubbish as a brown trouit fishery. The upper Nene is fished as a trout fishery. There are some other small streams and brooks that contain trout. The problem with trout fisheries in rivers and streams, is that they are not publicised, and syndicate members are quite secretive. The Eye brook also has a brown trout fishery.
