What's the most popular fly you've never caught on...?

For me it has to be a yellow dancer, I do use lures, mostly in the winter but I have yet to catch on a dancer. Probably due to lack of confidence more than anything else though.

Possibly because I think it is an incredibly ugly fly and hence have no confidence in it. Perhaps I fish it incorrectly and then I only give it a desultory swim when everything else has failed, so perhaps it is not surprising.

for me it has to be the good old black pennel..have used it quite alot for bows and browns but nothing!!!!!!!!!

I would agree with the black pennel, yet to have a fish on it and I give it a swim fairly regularly.
