Wanted - mad keen young fly fishers!

The ADB are rolling out a new county and region based competition scheme for young fly fishers - the idea being to develop a bigger talent pool to feed into EYFA at national level. The north west is running the first pilot for the new scheme and we are now looking for enthusiastic young anglers between the ages of 12 and 16 who fancy a shot at representing the region. A selection event will take place at Bigland Trout Fishery in Cumbria on September 11th. Those anglers selected from this event will then go on to fish two matches against a team from the north east on 25th September and again on 9th October. Attitude and enthusiasm are just as important as technical skills and in particular we will be looking for youngsters prepared to work hard at improving their skills through a series of regional training days.
