Around September time me and my old man are planning a fishing trip somewhere abroad. We just don't know where yet! So I'm looking for some options. Preferably somewhere that has fly fishing, big game sea fishing and somewhere that's hot for around 10 days. I know there's so many places to choose from so I'm looking any info/tips/experiences. Please share : )

Try bone fishing in the Bahamas, Cuba or Mexico. Plenty hot and lots of action on the fly there. You'd have to check out the best times to visit though.

The river Congo? Not been but Jeremy Wade makes the place look quite adventurous...


A more sanitised adventure bearing in mind the political situation in Egypt would be Lake Nasser for 10 days. Have been (for a month in 1990) and it was perfect for anyone wanting to get away from everything for a while. Lived on the boat and ate some of our catch for fresh stuff.

Thanks for the replies. I think Mexico will prob be the one as it's got a wide variety of fishing available. I've already been there though it's where I Caught my biggest/best fish (80ib sailfish)!! : )

I would go to india,river carvery as some say it for the marsheer fishing on the fly im going feb march and april its the best.im trying it on the float tube next time. ive been going on and off for years.its not to dear i ring smethwick travels for a plane ticket to jalunder or were ever im wanting and go.if you want to know more just pm me.plane cost me about £280 for open ticket big phil

Florida for me-Some of the best saltwater fly fishing in the world(not that ive really tried many other destinations)

Head for the Fraser river, British Columbia, salmon, steelhead and for the big stuff White Sturgeon. not quite the tropical, but a sturgeon potentially into 4figures would certainly warm you up!!!!!!
