Default Buying gear in the US

Hi all,

Have a trip planned in a few weeks but will have no time to fish, am looking to purchase some gear but will need it delivered to my hotel as I will be too busy to go to the shops

Does anyone have any shops that come to mind that will do this ?

Cheers

Matt

Matt, PM me. I can give you the names of several very reputable shops that do that on a regular basis. Just two things to keep in mind:

1. Let the hotel know to expect package(s) at least a week before you arrival. They will accept and hold (that's the norm).
2. Order what-ever up at least a week before that to take 'shipping time' into account from 'A' to 'B.'

Matt;

One last addition to Fred's advice is not to order from a shop in the same state as the hotel you are having it shipped to otherwise you will have to pay State Sales tax.

Take care

Good point Terry. Here are the five States with no sales tax (Note that Oregon is among them): Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon.

There is the odd City/Town that do have a 'local sales tax' but none here in Oregon.

Cabelas is always worth a try for gear. I buy clothes and waterproofs from them because they stock my size.
