I am kinda new to fly fishing and bought a reel from a man on ebay. He did not know what kind of line it was. It Is bright yellow with about 12 foot section of black line on the end. Hes got written on the spool WF-8 Floating but im not sure what the black section may be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Its a sink tip, yellow part floats black part sinks

Just throw some of the line into the bath, some of the yellow and black section and see what happens. Chances are that it is a sink tip.
