Hi bullfinch, the words Airflo floater gives you your answer, their sinking lines are brill but their floaters have always been rubbish. Tie up your roses with it, and buy a decent floating line.
Billy.

Yep, I too have an Airflo floating line.

It's fine for casting and stripping back lures, but now I'm trying to present static flies its tendency to zig-zag and my attempts to straighten means that the fly is soon outside my target area and being unintentionally worked back towards me.

It has to go!

Pitsford Pirate will sell you a memory free floating line with loops and glue included for less than half your £40.

I've ordered one from Pitsford Pirate

And another from Mike Barrio

(I often have two rods set up, one to fish surface flies the other for sub surface, ready for a change when I see the trout change, which can happen very quickly and for a fairly short time. Or simply when I get bored doing the same thing and fancy fishing differently for a few casts ).

It will be interesting to compare them both
