I was on North Third on Tuesday Tommy, had 3 rainbows and a brown on snatchers and red head diawl bach, floating line (all returned). It was good to see that the bulk of the fish were now moving around and not stuck in the bay nearest the car park, i had mine between the islands and drifting up the dam wall.
Been a bit of a fishing week for me (for a change) and one of the "if only"

weeks too.
I took and returned 3 at Menteith on Friday, on yellow quill buzzers size 12, later i hooked into a big fellow, during a flat calm sadly it parted company with me taking my rainbow cormorant,

(greedy ******), i estimate it around 6 or 7lb, it took of like a dog running from a hungry ethiopian, snapping me at the water knot
Then against my better judgement i went to Swanswater yesterday, in that bright sunshine, however i did manage 3 within an hour (all 2-3lb mark) on a floating line red head diawl bach, changed to a buzzer set-up as the Db's would have bagged me up, again i hooked into a big one, between 10-15lb it led me a merry dance for around 10mins or more, (felt like forever) actually the guy in the boat nearest me shouted "You wont need to chap this one, it will have died of old age by the time it comes in"

my arm felt like it was broken, then the cunning SOAB headed under the boat and wrapped itself around the anchor, needless to say it won and we parted company
Still been a fun week, i dont usually get so much fishing done in so short a space of time.
Best regards
Jim
