Thumbs up ...sonik customer service.......

After the O rings went on the spindle of my SK LITE 5/6# reel, i decided to contact Sonik customer service , i was expecting the usual from them like other major tackle company,s ie nothing ,but the following day i received a reply from Tim at Sonik Sports over two days this is how it went...starting with Tims reply to the above, then mine again and the final one today from Tim

Hello Bruce,
I will be happy to send you out free of charge a replacement O- ring.
Please supply me with a convenient address, and we will post it out to you.
Many Thanks Tim

Tim ,further to my last e-mail ,was there by any chance two very thin O rings in the recess on the spindle ????if so that answers my own query as to why there was an O ring at the bottom of the spindle ....

again many thanks...

Bruce.

Good Morning Bruce,
I will make sure that we send out a selection of O- Rings, I hope this helps you,
You are correct regarding the O-Ring on the spindle 1 or 2 rings should fit in the groove half way up.
If you have any further problems or concerns, please feel free to call me in the office.
Many Thanks Tim.

no hassle ,no querying just good old fashioned customer service ,

brilliant

well done Sonik and especially Tim

many thanks.

Bruce as you are probably aware half of the staff at Sonik are from Hardys, I know a lot of people think Hardys are not living up to their name but the one thing seems to be still going for them is old fashioned services and the staff at Sonik have taken that on board as well. Which as you say is nice to see in this day and age

well true to there word Sonik have sent out a multitude of differing sizes of O rings ,plus a tube of grease, again many thanks to those concerned, namely Tim, and Frank who packaged the O rings and grease, and an accompanying letter,

excellent ,good old fashioned customer service ,just how it should be, and some of the bigger companies should take note .....

again many, many thanks..

Bruce.

for the sake of a quids worth of o rings and stamps, sonik have earned themselves serious brownie points among us, and those we speak to. no doubt they have the sense to know that. investment in good service is never wasted. well done sonik.

Taking nothing away from Sonic, I have found Snowbee to be very good as well. I broke the foot on my XSD, rang them up and they put one in the post FOC.

Bruce,
It's a simple thing to implement we have to wonder why it's such a rare commodity these days,.
Sonik take a bow, others take note, and this should apply not only to tackle manufactures, money is tight and the competition for our business is fierce, treat us the customer with contempt and you will rue the day.

Maybe we could have a league table with the good reports getting 3 points, tIe mediocre getting 1point, and the bad getting a minus 2.

Cheers

Flyguy777.
