Best in the area is ledyatt on the Coupar Angus road about 10 mins from the city centre. You also have Ledcreiff which is a lovely spot but can be hard going. Carlogie is attrition fishin shoulder to shoulder round a puddle but the catch rate is high. Rivers Isla and Dean are close by and if you want to travel a bit boat fishing at Butterstone loch is pretty good but pricey. You also got the tay over that way.

Although I am not a local to the area, I have fished Ledyatt whist on holiday in Dundee. This is a really nice water and the fish are top quality- I caught a fish of approx 15lb (only fished there about 3 times). If you like fishing buzzers in gin clear water and lovely surroundings this is the place for you.

For me it would have to be Rescobie , for great fishing and the friendliest welcome and help available. 100% recommended
