Default kennick tomorrow

Hello all. Ain't been on for a while due to computer break down and loosing my dad. I have only been out and wet the lines 3 times this year so far. Once at grafham when it was the only day of that week when it blew like hell lol. Managed 4 down deep on the dreaded orange blob lol. Then had an evening ticket on kennick taking 3 on daiwl bachs. Then had a day down at tavistock and had 5 on green buzzer best being a 10lb 4oz brown which had to be the best from fighting fish i have ever had.
Looking forward tomorrow i hope to take a few on a couple of new tyings I've done this week.
Sorry for the ramblings but my dad use to listen to me so forgive me you lot will have to listen instead lol

cheers sarg

Sorry about your dad matey.
When i was up there teaching last Monday the fish were taking buzzers, but a dry sedge pattern also did well.
Regarding your brown trout, that is a large fish, but you need to connect to a fresh run Teign sea trout to experience a really hard fighting fish!
So have your day on Kennick then head to the river and catch a sea trout!
Cheers
Richard

Used to catch sea trout on the river mole as a nipper great memories.
Not fished for them since. I have been lucky with fishing being an ex fish farmer i got to fish many places but that brown trout went mental for 20minutes twice trying to go down the out flow pipe.

Had a red letter day at kennick. I didn't get to the resivour till 11 due to dropping the kids off at friends ect . The weather was overcast and blowy in patches so i headed up to the top end on laployd bank. I spoke to an elderly angler who said nothing was happening. As i spoke to him i saw several flat spots so walked down the bank 50 yards and set up with a red daiwl Bach on the point and 2 dropped with my own style orange ostrich herl buzzers. I call them oh buzzers. Second cast fish on lol. Then it just went mental. One cast i had 3 on at once but lost the 2 droppers which ain't surprising with3 fish all trying to go different ways. Well i actually land 7 fish having released a brownie. 2 to through daiwl Bach and the rest fell to the oh buzzers all in an hour.

Then my own luck changed. I drove home about 8 miles from kennick then went to open my front door. No keys!!!!. Drove back to the resivour and looked with no luck. I have phoned and left a message with the warden. Ahhh so annoying.

Cheers

Keys thankfully found. Some nice fisherman posted them in the self service safe. Thanks who ever you were.

Took a message walk around whilst picking keys up tonight and few had caught anything but they were just coming on the rise at 8pm in the boat house bay.
Cheers

hey Sarg, sounds like you did really well at Kennick, I only manage a couple when I go, obviously down to inexperience. must be some special buzzers to have 3 on at once

glad you got your keys back!

regards
Steve
