Default Sink Tip Leader

Having never used a sink tip line before and having recently purchased one, I was wondering what is the ideal leader length to use in conjunction with a sink tip line?

Will depend on where and what?
sometimes on reservoirs 9 to 15 foot leader.
on rivers can be 5 to 10 foot leader, depending on species.
What line weight and where?, for more succint answers.

If three flies, ten to twelve foot leader is adequate.
if two reduce to eight to ten foot.
