Hi, might fish Pitsford early doors on Saturday morning, probably around 5. Does anybody have any tips for fishing for trout at this time of day, have done it hundreds of times coarse fishing and was just wondering whether you would change your approach in any way.

There are benefits from an early start fishing for trout. Its quieter, fish come out of cover and nearer the bank. The water is cooler having cooled down overnight. Fish start feeding when it comes light and there are not many anglers about. All of this can be spoilt however by bad weather so you need to pick your day. If you open the curtains and it is coming down in buckets go back to bed.This is probably no different than your coarse fishing.
