Talking A very bad day.

How many times have you looked at a fishing catalogue or online for tackle & other bits & bobs. Only to find you dont need anything, even worse, you dont want anything. This is worse than having man flu.

Never happened to me my difficulty is ensuring that my orders don't arrive when my wife is at home. I have even had to drive around the village searching for the postman so I can whip the item out of his van and straight into my car... rod tube shaped packages are a bit of a giveaway!

I've just entered 'fly fishing' in the Ebay search box and it's come up with 55,352 items... might take you a while to work through the 857 pages but surely there must be something you need?

Whenever I look at fishing tackle be it online, in a catalogue or in a shop, there is always something I want, and if I'm actually buying something specific, 9 times out of 10 I'll come away with extra stuff as well.

A fly fisherman can never have enough tackle. Tackle to use, spare tackle, more spare tackle, and tackle just to look at and fondle when not fishing.

Colin, you've lost it man - losing the will to buy tackle is like losing the will to live - phone the Samaratans quickly!

Buy a new fly box, you then have to fill it. You will not leave any gaps and will put flies in that you will never use.
New fly vest or bag, again have to fill it. Every pocket has to hold something, again things bought to fill pockets but never ever going to be used.
Cassette reels with upteen spare spools, each one with a line on. How many types of line do you really use? 2 or 3?
Then you have to fill your tying/materials box, draw, in some cases room.
The list is endless.
