Default Frank Williams Instruction Recommendation

Hi all.

I just thought I'd post something up as my wife had a 4 hour instruction session with Frank Williams this weekend.

Now, my wife had never picked up a rod in her life before but Frank settled her in quickly and with care and patience took her through the basics of safety, knots and the other basics before spending 3 hours with her on her casting.

With Franks guidance she went on to catch a couple of fish and can't wait to have another lesson with him. She bought her own rod and reel on Monday and now just wont stop talking about it.

OMG - What have I done

Frank Williams comes highly recommended from me.

I will second That. I watched Frank do a Demo on Teaching and teaching Aids and I have since gone on to use some of it. And he's a nice guy

Thirded.

Spent a very enjoyable and educational day on the river with Frank last year and my confidence in flowing water has grown since then. Top bloke.

By the sounds of it you have been very smart.
Now your wife will understand what your talking about and will not mind when you head out fishing for days.
On the down side she may also go fishing for days and not have your dinner waiting and the house may become a tip for tackle and fly tying kit.
A goddess or monster ?
No just the wife LOL

Bit of a double edged sword as she now knows how much I spend on tackle

And she wants a pink fly line .......I think she has a bit of April Vokey envy going on.....

Anyone know of a decent pink WF floating line suitable for a beginner?

Brian. thanks, glad to hear you are using some of the techniques, I know that in the past I have been accused of being to technical on here but this e who have have had lessons from me or I have worked with when teaching will know that is not the case,

I can't resist posting this pic of one of my teaching aids.

I'll Fourth that.

I have known Frank for a good few years now and we have had some good fishing outings. He's a quick learner and puts in 200% with any fly fishing related and his teaching ability is great.
If anyone is in and around the welsh border and wants to go fish rivers like the Wye & Usk or its tributories like the monnow. I strongly recommend a day out on the water with Frank as he knows his stuff and will make sure you go away feeling you've spent your hard earn't money well.
Great Casting Instructor too.
Top Bloke.
