Default Ink'd - Trutta style...

Well, most people who know me or meet me will quickly realize I have a serious obsession...borderline problem. Yes...I'm a fly junkie. And when I tell them I have a tattoo of a fish on my back, that's when it really gets ugly. lol

But to other fly fishers I think they can understand it more. Maybe not to the point where they all want to get a tattoo of a fish on their back, but they can understand....I hope. lol.

Anyways, enough idle talk, here's some pics of my brown trout tat.

Yes...I have a problem...but I've embraced it and signed it in ink.

Nice Tat! If you do a search I think you'll find a thread on this from a couple of years ago. That your own design?

Take care

Nice piece mate, looks like real quality work. I love the contrast between the black or the trout and stream and the colour of the maple leaf.

Can I ask how old the tat is in the top picture?

Cheers eh.

Myself and the tattoo artist, Ivy, came up with the design. I had some sketches of river rock for the background, photos and sketches of the brown, and she put it all together. Had to wait a year to get started as she has a long waiting list. Definitely well worth it though. She's a great artist.

The tat was fairly fresh in the top picture and I actually had some parts darkened after the picture was taken. I've been meaning to get back into the studio and take some updated shots but just haven't got around to it.

I can't decide what I want to get tat'd next. =P It's addictive...

It's a maple leaf, ya. Figured it was fitting considering I'm Canadian and I needed something to contrast the colour of the fly.

Ya I like it. Was my first tat and I figured I'd do it right. 21 hours under the needle in total. lol.
