Default Light set up advice

I have recently set myself up with a 4# rod, reel and line set up for the rivers, What are my options to connect fly line to leader? is the needle knot better than a braided loop to obtain a more delicate presentation? or are there better options? thanks in advance

Welded loops on fly lines
