Default Hardy Demon 9ft #6; 9ft6 #6

I am thinkin of buying a Hardy Demon 9ft #6 or 9ft 6in #6. to replace my Orvis Western #6, an upgrade if you like, how do other owners find the Hardy. I mainly fish small stillwaters and the occasional resevoir, bank fishing.

I have the demon 9.6ft #6 its a 3 piece rod.In my opinion a very classy rod indeed.
Well made and easy to cast with also have the demon reel on so balance is good also.
Not sure about price as i got mine on sale just as the new 4 piece ones came out.Not made in england i dont think but a lot cheaper than the other hardys that are.
I would say if you can find one at a good price get it

Hi Andy, I have the 9ft 6# 4pc Rod and I like it. It is an easy casting rod and for the use that you want to put it to I would say go for it. I use a Greys Platinum floater and the Airflo 6/7 sinking lines and it loads fine with these though I have only used up to the di5. Well made rod decent cork. Made in Korea but I don't think that matters one jut. Go and try one first as although they are ok for others you may decide different.

Thanks for the replies, I went to Sportfish Reading and tried the Hardy Demon, Orvis Access, A greys and a Guideline LPXe, I chose the Guideline LPXe, lovely action, suits my casting style well, and a few pointers from those helpful people at Sportfish. Have since fished with the rod and found it very good, now happy.
