Post fishing Utopia.

I was cbatting the other day, with another forum member about fishing Utopias & if he had found his. Like me he had. My own is a loch in kintyre. Why this place means so much to is because it was the first loch i fished with my late father. I'd be interested to see if other anglers have found, their own fishing Utopia.

My fishing Utopia, back in the day, was the River Trent, also my father's favourite. Sadly, it's just fly-fishing for me these days - I'm told it's an old man's game.

Mine's was the river Annan. I fished it with my father in law, and then my sons, for over 25 years just one beat.Every time we went it was like coming home, a wonderful feeling. Sadly, it's no longer available for us to fish anymore and I'm looking for a new Utopia.

I'm too young to have a fishing utopia yet! There are however places that I have fished and instantly felt at home, most of all Carron Valley reservoir. Maybe one day it will cement itself as my fishing utopia!
