Default fly tying

hi folks i am fairly new to the fishing bug and i am keen to tie my own flies which will have to be self taught. could someone advise if i am better buying a complete tying kit or am i better of buying equipment,materials as i need for the flies i am attempting to tie

Buy the materials for the flies you intend to tie

You probably wont use half of what is in a kit, as Chelsea123 says, buy what you need.

Determine which flies you're likely to need/use and buy the materials to tie them with.
