Default First Wild Brownie

I went down to my local river/stream early this morning. I knew it held trout as I had previously seen rising fish.
On arrival I thought that I had no chance- coming from a stillwater background, I wasn't confident of catching. Anyway first chuck, using a hi viz Klink, I saw a flash; I was so shocked I forgot to strike. Next cast, it happened again and this time there was no mistake - A 4 inch long fish, tiny compared to the alien rainbows, yet the nicest fish I have ever caught. I ended up with around 10 brownies, all small but perfectly formed. Can't wait to get back on.
Cheers
BW

Well done BW, there will probably be bigger fish in the stream, so keep trying.

Nicely done, take a look at the small streams thread in trout and grayling. It is a good source of information for your new passion.
