Default Small Still Water Near Peterborough?

Hello - I have to be in Peterborough tomorrow and I thought that to dull the pain I should take my rod and have a couple of hours in the evening fishing. I've looked for a suitable venue but it all seems like resevoir fishing. Since I've never fished anything much bigger than a large puddle that seems a little bit of a stretch.

So does anone know of a small still water nearby where I can fish into the evening, many thanks for any ideas

cheers

Jack

Elinor Nr Aldwinkle. Not far from you. Bigger than a puddle but the evening fishing can be fantastic.

Second that recommendation, fantastic fishery. Take your waders but don't be too quick to jump in. Fish are often well within casting range of the bank and even in the margins at Elinor.

Rutland Water. Come and fish the Tuesday night boat league. Don't worry if you have never done it before. You will be partnered up with someone who knows the ropes, that counts me out...

Great way to try Rutland for the first time, PM me or look at the thread in the competition forum for more details.
