Default Adapt an unused floater?

No fishing today due to rubbish weather and just checking through my tackle, I have a cassette with a Cortland 444 peach floater on that I'm just not using anymore, would it be possible to adapt it in some way into a sink tip that I may get some more use from?

If its possible is it best done with the same weight line, I just ask as the Cortland is a WF7 and I have a sinking WF5 thats also unused - could taking a section of the belly of the 5 work on the tip of the Cortland?

Or is this a daft idea and more hassle than its worth?!

Sounds like too much hassle IMO. I'd just attach a Polyleader but that's just me.

Hello mate,

Sounds like a lot of hassle to me but maybe that's because I'm a lazy git!!!

What about selling it on ebay and using the money to go towards a sink tip line or set of polyleaders.

Regards,

Nick.

Thanks guys, I kind of guessed it might be a bit of a non starter but was just wondering if it was an option...I think I'd only use a sink tip on the odd occasion so I might be better just going for a £6 mill end from the local tackle shop, some decent lines pop up in there (still using a great intermediate that was a mill end) but it can be hit and miss!

Thanks for the replies.
