Hi,
For wets the usual small black flies do well. I would go for a Kate Mclaren, Black Pennel and a black snatcher with a green butt.

Shimmy, Carron Rabbit and a Kate in the middle. All the wets you will ever need

All mentioned plus a Blue Zulu. Ask Eeky or Frazer for a Rosie Bell. That's the real killer fly on Carron

I am starting to think I am jinxed on Carron. Three trips over the past year and just one small brown to show for it (rather ashamed to admit that!) Although one trip had a serious cold wind, other two have been mild weather and plently of fish showing. It sounds from the flies mentioned here that most people fish it fairly traditonal wet fly - is that a fair assumption? Any tips would be very much appreciated - I am clealry doing something seriously wrong!
