Default Opinions on Pies!

Reading the new bung/recipie thread got my stomach rumbling and thoughts soon turned to the king of foodstuffs, the Pie!!
The main event of last nights T was a co -op butchers steak pie, IMHO, the finest pie on the market.
Anyone else want to share their thoughts on the Pie?

Burbush's Pork and Caramelised Apple pie (from Penrith) is simply the finest of its kind.

Hey, if we are talking about meat pie's then there is nothing like a "Home Made Meat Pie" With Beef of-course.

Shop bought, Huh! Like horse meat do you? Home made is best!

Mind you, I'm partial to a Bowyer's Pork pie; and you never know what's gone in to that altogether?

Home Made Shepherds Pie or Apple Pie also go down a treat.

Mine's a home made plate meat pie with mince in gravy and thin crust pastry. Yum yum.

Ahh the pie, the humble bit of grub that brings a smile, or some cases, look of utter disgust, when one bites into it!
For me there are a few, the best and sadly not gettable Dahn Saf, is the Scotch pie, preferably from a butchers, in particular the one on the high Street in Innerliethen, mercy just the thought of it, hot and greasy, delish!
Another would be the pork pie, none of your service station muck mind, no way. A Proper Pork Pie, one where the gravy has spilled out the pastry, solid inside, a pie that you could use as a weapon!

The worst, in my humble opinion, Pukka Pies, jees, what was I thinking?!
