Denny Rickards, a still water expert in the USA recommends Cortland Camo line. It is a clear tip line. I have no personal experience, but every time I've heard him speak he says this is the best intermediate line for still waters.

Cortland - 444 Classic - Clear Camo

Hi Pawprint
The Airflo range of 3 glass lines covers sink rate 0.5 inch per sec to 2.5 ips (i think )
Then you get the Di 3 at 3 ips which equals the slime line.
You need to decide how fast you need the line to sink and purchase or by the 4 lines to cover all aspcts.

Airflo seem good to me but I still have a slime as well.

cortland blue,

I went the other route and ended up with 5 intermediates geting the blue last, and now its the only one i use. 90% time. The others have their moments but if i had to pick just one thats it=cortland blue all the way.

What do you mean by "the best"? people might have different criteria that would make it the best for them. What do you want out of a line that would make it the best for you?

I hate this line... unfortunatly, I find that it has an unreliable descent index. They say it's supposed to be a 1.5, but the one I used was more like a 4 or even 5 in some places, and in other places, it didn't even break the surface. I was totally disgusted with it.
