Angry All this talk of free fishing ,a result of it.

A friend of mine who fishes at wild loch which gets advertised by those who fish it and also been on here as"Free fishing" recently had an outing again. Now he has fished it for quite a while and slowly but surely the results of all this FREE fishing lark talk is this.

Sunday, sat out in his float tube at peace with the world, all quiet.A few cars began to arrive, which is fine, then boom boom boom from the ghetto blasters, behind him had been quiet and having had a couple of fish, needed the call of nature and turned to go in to be faced with a line of anglers behind him and no where to land, they had seen him catching and honed in.He decided to move and found another quiet spot,to be joined by 2 bus loads who out with everything except the kitchen sink screaming and shouting and music. He moved again and then sploosh, sploosh turning saw anglers with spinners, bait rods and leads the size of sea leads crashing near him.By this time the banks were strewn with tents, dogs in and out of the water, camp fires going ,on dry heathered ground and music blaring, rubbish all over with beer cans and paper and killing the once peacefull surroundings.

He called it a day and was packing away and 2 guys were stood talking and one said to the other"this is s....e,I come here and never catch and its only little uns you get when you do" THEY should put some fish in"
My mate said to them," sorry couldnt help hearing But who is They? Its a wild loch with wild fish." yes but they should stock it"he replied.
Now who in their right mind is going to stock a loch and pay to do it in a wild loch so someone can take away fish for nothing.

This guy had travelled miles and must do it often, because its free!! but it must cost him more in petrol than it would at a stocked fishery, where he would get the size he obviously wants. But the FREE word makes him feel hes saving money.
In my mates words it was like picadilly circus.Shame as it was once a nice quiet place and had respect from those who used it.

How long has it left now.

I can see a good business opportunity there Kevin. Get the lease and charge them all. If there is bus loads it will be the busiest fishery in Scotland

Was wreck fishing off Newquay yesterday over a galleon that sank 200 years ago! I hooked into something and reeled it up from the depth's, and to my astonishment it was the ships lantern!!! and even more amazing it was still burning after all these years. (what exaggerating)

You know what moray if you take away the bus I will blow out the lamp

I do sympathize with your mate, its just changing times and I suppose and we older generation must shoulder some of the blame.

I think that old law refers to any Welshman within the city walls after midnight Saturday, but I'm sure you wouldn't be referring to a Welshman as scum, right Mike.
