I should like to take this opportunity to publicly thank a member who epitomises our sport.
Recently on the fly tying forum I asked members about red ibis substitute as red ibis seemed to be no longer available.
Thanks to all who helped with advise and suggestions but special thanks must go to Chris (Christy27) who contacted me to tell me he had some red ibis and would send me some, this he did and a fly that I wanted to tye with it, The Alexandra.
It is this sort of open handed generosity that makes our sport what it is.
Once again and in public. Thanks Chris.
