Default Johnston Loch gartcosh

Has anybody fished here before? i have a trip here on sunday and i cant find any info about it atall, well none about the fishery, i would like to know:

is it stocked? and with what?

Is it a wadeable water or is it boat only?

Any secret spots that u dont want to be a secret anymore?
( i understand if you dont want to give this) lol

Thank you.

Pass it many times.
Sorry I cant help you but I was wondering how did you manage a day out here . I think its private? Do you have to be invited or maybe as a guest with a member?
I think it's boat only.

I'm a member, there are four boats though it is possile to wade in places ut watch out as there is wire mesh near th ebank to stop people spinning, recently snatchers, crunchers, blobs, boobies, cats, cdcs, grhe, kate mclaren, aleandrina, peter ross and mayfly imitations, a nice wee club with about 80 members, if you are boat fishing I'd try right out in the middle opposite the jettyn as this is where fish lie cause it's deeper, if this doesn't work I'd drift down from the lillies, good luck and any more info ust ask

P.S You won't need any more than fast glass as it's quite shallow

Don,t worry to much about the competition, just enjoy the day and hospitality .
I was involved in the club when the "competition" was first organized . It was just a friendly get the gether

if the buzzers are on then a black 16 or 14 imitation will do fine.any of the above mentioned flys will do, but if its not been stocked lately use imitative patterns.

What time does it start? mibbee come up for a wee look.
enjoy you day, the hospitality will be second to none.
