Yes it's true. But what are you going to be using it for.

I use it for dry fly and nymph/lure fishing, it's superb and it isn't temperamental with knots

P.S. ... and it doesn't cost a fortune.

Fulling Mill......The reason because it has good knot strength, its for me been more reliable than other far more expensive brands and does not pig tail when tying flies on. Will have look at the Ultragreen as I have not used it.

hmmm, theres mixed reviews about this line. five times out of ten i've had the dropper knots break on me and also other people have had the same.

I never liked the ultra green as it was too soft. I have used the maxima chameleon for forty years for both salmon and trout and never had a problem.

Dodgy stuff fluorocarbon, it was never designed to be knotted and most fine-diameter copolymers are as bad.

Strange one this Rusty as did not expect to find any problems with Maxima.Only reason I decided to pass comment is because I have found Maxima Ultragreen mono in 4lb/6lb/8lb to be flawless in all the time I have used it.Only chose the ultragreen shade of Maxima purely because I liked the colour.
