Default faided fly line

hi , i have had my fly line on my rell for bout 2 yrs, its a cortland micron orange backing on a cortland peach floater. the backing has discoloured a lot of the fly line, will this comprimise the line at all and ca it be cleaned off ?, cheers , russell

It's just dye stain from the braided backing. Line will be okay.

I noticed my fingers staining badly whilst spooling a length of brigh blue GSP only last week.
